Wushu West: Berkeley, California, United States; Wushu West has been teaching traditional and contemporary wushu, taiji quan, and bagua zhang in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years. The curriculum includes open-hand and weapon forms, national and international level competition preparation for wushu athletes, and Chen, Yang, Wu and Push Hands training for taiji students. Master Hao Zhi Hua (Patti Li) was a star performer, along with teammate Jet Li, in the original Beijing Wushu Team for 15 years. This team thrilled the world with its stunning athleticism and amazing performances. Master Hao Zhi Hua is a 3 time National All-Around Champion of China. She was selected as one of the ten best athletes in China in 1983. Now, with over 25 years of teaching experience, Master Hao passes on the tradition to students here in California. Her students have achieved top levels of perfomance and skill in Chinese martial arts, including moving into starring roles in Cirque du Soleil’s “Ka” production in Las Vegas, winning spots on the United States Wushu Team, as well as International, National and Regional championships. http://www.wushuwest.com
